Kobi graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2000 after completing an undergraduate degree at the University of Toronto. Kobi’s practice has focused on private equity as well as financial services. Throughout his career, he has advised numerous investment funds throughout their entire life-cycle, including fund formation, managing investors, engaging service providers, and handling complex disputes. Kobi has worked extensively in the private equity markets and has led many transactions to acquire, divest and finance businesses throughout Canada and in other markets globally. Kobi has advised banks, trust companies, alternative lenders, and blockchain technology businesses on matters of strategy and risk. He has a diverse background as a business operator and technology entrepreneur and has experience in managing the challenges that face business-operators everyday.
Kobi is a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist and recently worked as a consultant to the Financial Intelligence Units of various Canadian banks.
